ROBIN JOUSSON

trained as a violin maker in Cremona and is a selfemployed luthier in Geneva, mostly involved in the set-up and construction of historical instruments. The rest of his time is spent researching, winding gut strings and making ancient bows.
PABLO SORIANO

is a researcher, teacher and master instrument maker. He has a degree in art history and a masters in secondary education and professional training. He is currently finishing his PhD focused on early European bowed instrument technical development.
LOUISE LANSDOWN

is head of strings at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, founder of the Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Competition and president of the British Viola Society. She plays on a c.1750 French viola with an 1890 Sartory bow, both formerly owned by violist Cecil Aronowitz.

is associate concertmaster with the Hamburg Symphony and has published numerous articles and editions, as well as The Orchestral Violinist’s Companion. He holds a PhD in musicology from the City University of New York.
