Violinist Augustin Hadelich joins KD Schmid bit.ly/3wE7uyr German-American violinist Augustin Hadelich has joined the roster of artist agency KD Schmid for general management. His general manager will be associate director Enrico Fischer, while his current management team will be completed by New York-based Ann SunHyung Kim who is representing him in  North America. The cooperation with Augustin Hadelich’s regional management partners continues, including Lorenzo Baldrighi Artists Management in Italy and Amati Inc. in Japan.

US National Music Museum begins reopening project bit.ly/3wIpxUmAmerica’s National Music Museum (NMM) is reopening its doors in 2023 after several years of renovation and expansion. Located on the campus of the University of South Dakota (USD) in Vermillion, SD, the NMM is staging its full reopening in two phases, with the first planned for late summer 2023. In this phase, all first-floor galleries in the original Carnegie building will be reopened. The NMM’s collection comprises about 15,000 instruments.

New concertmaster for Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France bit.ly/3Rh0fpz

Violinist Nathan Mierdl has been named concertmaster of the Parisbased Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. Previously the orchestra’s assistant concertmaster, Mierdl will begin his new role as one of the orchestra’s first solo violinists, in rotation with Hélène Collerette and Ji Yoon Park. Mierdl studied under Christophe Poiget, Jean Sulen and Roland Daugareil.
